The Gross Gang in Your Garbage

The Trash Pack is becoming my "vacation toy line".  I discovered them on a trip to Las Vegas, I got a large chunk of my Series 2 collection while visiting Florida, and in less than a month I'm travelling to the Trash Pack's homeland - Australia.  The day I take a vacation somewhere and I don't get any Trash Pack stuff will be a sad day indeed.

As with The Trash Pack Series 1, the Series 2 figures come in 5-packs and 12-packs, blind boxed 2-packs, and "fizz bag" 8-pack sets.  The fizz bags get dropped into a sink full of water, fizz and froth up, and release some Trashies hidden inside.  In reminds me of the old Trash Bag Bunch gimmick, which is cool in a nostalgic kind of way, but I prefer the 5-packs myself (that way every figure gets their own bin).  Series 2 is also notable for being the first Trash Pack series to have female characters.  You can tell by the bows on their heads (a good ol' fashioned cartoon staple).

Single Trashie bin, Trashie 2-pack, and Trashie 12-pack bin.

THE GRUBZ
The Grubz team is scaled back in size this time, but I still think they're one of the better teams.  This time around, the 12-packs come with two special edition "mouldy" Trashies.  The mouldy figures are flocked, which suits the gimmick well.  Hey, who doesn't love a good flocking?

PUTRID PRETZEL

SPEW-GHETTI

CERY-ILL

BOGGY BAGEL

MOULD SHAKE

ROTTEN SANDWICH

NUTSO

SORE BERRY
(Mouldy Trashie)

YUCKO TACO

HARD RUBBISH
For this series, the Hard Rubbish is the largest team to collect.  And this time, my favorite Trashie of the series is in this group: Septix.  I've always been a fan of toilet characters!

SEPTIX

GRUBBY

POO PEW

ZAPPER

MELTER

DRIPZY

 SUDZ

CUKOO

COMPOST

TRASH TUBE

VILE HI-FI

LUGGER

GARBO MARTIAN
(I don't know how this guy counts as "Hard Rubbish".  I'd never throw any of my martians out.)

BURNY
(Mouldy Trashie.  How dirty do you need to be to have a mouldy toaster?)

BIN-SECTS
The Bin-Sects are back for another go-around.  They're still not one of my favorite teams, but Dung Bug and Bum Bug are great.

DUNG BUG

BUM BUG

BINFIRE

UNLADY BUG

SPLIDER

SKWEEVIL

SLUDGE SLUG

ICKY STINGER

SQUISH FISH
(AKA "Squid Fish" on some packages)

STINGLE

SQUIRMER

TRASHMITE

JUNK JUMPER
 (Mouldy Trashie)

BIN CRITTERS
The Bin Critters are back too, and they're still pretty boring.  I like Bog Hog, but this is still probably my least favorite team in Series 2.

BOG HOG

YUCK DUCK

CRUDDY CROW

GARBAGE BEAR

ALLEY-GATOR

VUL-GORE

GROSS GOOSE

RANK-OON

BIN MONSTERS
Once again, the Bin Monsters have some of the coolest characters.  They also have two Mouldy Trashie characters, since the Bin Critters didn't have any.

SCUMMY MUMMY

JOOSED
(Another one of my faves of this series)

VOMSTER

SLUDGER

GUNKY GARGOYLE

JUNKLOPS

TRASH BAG GOBLIN
(Mouldy Trashie)

GROTTY FRUITY
 (Mouldy Trashie)

ASTRO TRASH
The ultra rare team for Series 2 is the Astro Trash, a group of space junk characters with glossy paint.  I think they're pretty cool.  I just don't get why Garbo Martian doesn't count as part of the Astro Trash team.

GALACTO GARBO

GROT BOT
(These are both technically the same version, but they look so different I kept them both!)

SPACE WASTE

ALLEY ALIEN

TRASHTEROID

At the time of this writing, I'm missing five characters from Series 1, but only one from Series 2 (Trash Blaster from the Astro Trash team).  Once again, I'm not including the limited edition Trashies, since there's no way I'm lucky enough to find any of them.  Series 3 coming up!

  1. Oh man, the Astro Trash stuff rocks! They need more shiny robots. Also: They pick the burning toaster to be moldy, eh?

    1. Yeah, and we get no mouldy Bin Critters. At the very least it would be cool to have a little fuzzy animal. Oh well, I still like the mouldy guys.
